Hot August Nights 2009

In the world of Hot Rodding Hot August Nights is legendary and this year was history in the making.  For ten days the cities of Reno and Sparks Nevada were bursting at the seams with some of the worlds finest rides.  A record breaking 6,000 cars registered for this year’s event and over 800,000 people came out to take in the sights.

The beauty of Hot August Nights is you can either go to the cars or at some point the cars will come to you.  An impressive 10 venues host events where  you can walk isle after of isle of turned out rides or relax and enjoy the cruise routes right  through the parking lots. 

If that isn’t your speed you can grab a spot in downtown Reno along Virginia or in Sparks at Victorian Square and watch – and listen- to the night light up with the amazing rides.

Need a break from internal combustion? Hot August Nights organizes sock hops,  world class musical entertainment, and an enormous swap meet.  There is truly something for everyone.

And if  after 10 jam packed days you still haven't had your fill, how about a finale parade of the over 6,000+ cars. Here is just a taste of that...
