It was the perfect weekend at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. Through diligent work with the state and local governments and pure determination to give Hot Rodders a little bit of normal, the National Street Rod Association pulled off a weekend of automotive awesomeness. As a wise man told me, it’s like a family reunion but with cars. And to a person, it was old home week. It’s no wonder this show has run successfully for 51 years. A very cooperative crowd abided by the guidelines set out for the event. The registered attendees and spectators alike were courteous and conscientious. The NSRA stuck their necks out and thousands of folks are forever grateful for it, myself included!
If you host it and your name is the NSRA, they will come. And come they did, by the car loads. These crazy times did not change the fact that the Street Rod Nationals was still one of the largest shows of the year with nearly 7,500 Classics, Customs and Cruisers happily showing up for the weekend.
The Rods were turned out, laid out and flat out some of the finest rides rolling. To say there was something for everyone is putting it mildly. With all those rides roaming the grounds of the Expo center it was a gear head paradise.
The Professional Builders brought out their finest bling.
Trucks, Tri-5’s, T-Birds and even a Trio of Things turned out.
Willys and Wagons wowed the crowds.
Camaros, Convertibles and Corvettes were cooler than ever.
But the Street Rods may have just stolen the show.
