Two fantastic shows, one insane day. It was the James Dean Run in Fairmount, IN and then on to the Ducktail Run in Gas City, IN. They say Fairmount is where cool went to school. Well, I’d amend that to say cool went to school and learned a thing or two about Customs, Classics and Rods and then mastered how to put on a car show. I had heard a lot about this show but I have to say I wasn’t prepared for the nearly 3,000 rides that were out in all their glory filling Playacres Park. About all I can say is Dang, Dang, Dang, it was awesome. I had to tear myself away from James Dean to make it in time to Gas City and the Ducktail Run and again was NOT prepared for that one either. It was huge with just as many rides as James Dean and equally as impressive. Take note, if you want to even attempt to take in both of these shows: START EARLY! If you are not of the mind to rush, make a weekend out of it. I could not believe the events that were going on in both towns in conjunction with the car runs. For lack of a better word, it was all simply: awesome. 2018 will see me back in Grant County Indiana for these shows, I can guarantee that! Words really can’t do these shows justice you let the pics do the talking.
Oh and did I mention it was hot, it was HOT! Not that I’m complaining but just sayin. Now take a gander at the even hotter rides that were out for these two fantastic shows.
