Builders Showroom “Pick of the Week” – G3 Rods

This weeks Builders Showroom “Pick of the Week” is brought to you G3 Rods. It’s their latest build, an insane ’56 Nomad. They debuted this beauty earlier this year and have already earned themselves a GoodGuys Custom Rod of the Year Finalist award. Not too shabby for fresh out of the shop. So here’s the skinny on this snowy white stunner. By the by some of this info came from an interview I saw online; Tom Taylor talking to Tyler Nelson from G3, thanks guys! At first look you can’t help think this is a Nomad only different and in the hands of G3 different equals extraordinary. Front end, completely modified and changed. Front bumper flipped and tucked to a fare thee well. Full custom grille bar and insert. Say sayonara to the hood bird, this baby be too custom for that. An in house fabricated engine compartment is the perfect berth for the all aluminum 409 that’s been punched out to a 515. According to Tyler, it’s “a screaming machine putting out about 650hp”. Moving around the car there’s not a gap in sight on this beauty, the one off, c and c’d trim is one with this ride. Luxury car inspired custom LED lighting is throughout the interior. Dakota digital gages are housed in a custom dash. The custom leather interior that is done to perfection in burgundy leather even extends to the floor, which is leather covered with carpet inserts. No muddy buddies in this ride! Overall this Nomad has an aggressive look which is exactly what they were going for. Modifying the rear bumper, shaving the drip rails, reworking the fenders with a small flare and “crisping up the lines” went a long way in achieving the look. This stunner sits on an Art Morrison Enterprises GT Sport chassis and rolls on Billet rims. All in this BASF Glasurit drenched gem is a sight to behold. I’ve personally had the pleasure of laying mine eyes on this beauty at the GoodGuys Des Moines show and I can attest to the fact she be smokin’! Now cast your own peepers and you’ll agree this white hot ’56 will make you go Mad!

If you are out Rapid City South Dakota way be sure and stop by their shop, that in itself is a sight to behold. You can check out more of their builds and their righteous shop in their All-In-One Social Media Gallery. These kats know their stuff!

Till the next time – Keep on Kruzin!
