This week’s Builders Showrooms “Pick of the Week” comes from Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. Johnson’s HRS has been turning out outstanding builds for nearly a quarter century. Their range is extensive, building award winning muscle cars, street rods and even a salt flats racer “Stupidbaker”. You can buy a turn-key rod or a ground up, coach built custom. Their aim is to please each and every customer, all the while creating phenomenal rides. JHRS stellar builds have earned numerous awards including, Street Machine of the Year, the Mother’s Shine award, Car of the Year, and Mr. Johnson himself was awarded Street Rod Builder of the Year. And that just to name a few. This shop prides itself on “blending modern technology with true hot rod attitude” in all of their exceptional builds. That dedication to excellence is ever present especially in their latest debut “GPT”, a custom coach built ’32 Ford Tudor. We saw this beauty in it’s full and final glory at the Detroit Autorama proudly sitting on the Pirelli Great 8 list. Since we’ve brought you the final product we thought we’d bring you the evolution of this build.
