Builders Showrooms “Pick of the Week” – A&M Deluxe Customs “Shomad”

This week’s Builders Showrooms “Pick of the Week” is coming to you from one of KruzinUSA’s newest Builders from our Builders Showrooms list, A&M Deluxe Customs out of Portland, OR. A&M Deluxe specializes in building incomparable Street Rods, Customs, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, and Trucks. Basically, they will turn out first class work on anything with four wheels. A&M’s motto; “If you can dream it, we can build it, concept to turn-key!” Well they sure built the heck out of Ron Maier ’57 Nomad, appropriately dubbed “Shomad”. Since completion “Shomad” be hitting the “Sho” circuit hard. We saw this beauty all up close and personal at her SEMA debut last fall and it was a sight to behold! Since Vegas the awards have been piling up, including the Portland Roadster Show Rose Cup winner and the GoodGuys 2017 Custom of the Year. Now, that ain’t too shabby.

Known for their mad sheet metal skills, “Shomad” embodies A&M’s skill, creativity and meticulous craftsmanship. The front portion of the hood is hand crafted including a custom hood scoop. Front and rear bumpers have been “worked” to seamlessly blend with the design. And a skilled eye can see that the fender openings were raised two-and-a-half inches in the front and two inches in the rear. The rear hatch is now one-piece with hidden struts and an electric window. Just a few more “detes” on this beauty. She’s powered by a LS7-427 with custom valve covers, a smoothed block, and the handmade air intake. That work of art power plant is married to a 4L80E trans. “Shomad” sports a 2 inch chop and is coated in House of Kolor’s best. And the whole shebang all rides smoothly on an Art Morrison chassis.

There you have it one heck of a custom Nomad. Friends cast an eyeball at “Shomad”.

Spend some time in the Builders Showrooms we’ve nearly doubled our list! And be sure to head over to A&M Delux Customs Builders Showrooms Gallery and check out what else these cats are posting on their FaceBook page. If you liked the “Shomad” you’re gonna love their gallery!

Till the next time – Keep on Kruzin!
