As Drive-In’s go, it doesn’t get much better than the “Grand Daddy” Drive-In at the Grand National Roadster Show.  It was a beautiful Southern California day, add that to the perfect backdrop of the FDR era Fairplex Fairgrounds and then mix in the real stars of the show, the stellar rides.  It was a perfect 10 all the way around.  

They came in by the hundreds Saturday morning, filling every available inch of asphalt.  Bumper to bumper it was lake pipes, fender skirts, flames, pinstriping and copious amounts of chrome.  The unofficial show within a show at the Grand National Roadster Show turned it out and it was far out to the moon Daddy-O.  Car Clubs were representing, the music was jamming and everyone was getting an eyeful of Southern California’s finest.  The rides were turned out, laid out and flat out some of the best rides rolling.  One dandy of a Drive-In that you just gotta check out!

It was Custom cool with a capital C.

Ain’t nothing subtle about the rides that were basking in the warm California sun.

If Traditional Hot Rods trip your trigger the Grand Daddy Drive In drew them in by the hundreds.

One of a kind is probably the best way to describe the round up of rides out for the 2019 Grand Daddy Drive-In.

Cast your peepers at more of that glorious eye candy.  Southern California has got it going on!
