GNRS “Grand Daddy” Drive-In

It was the “Grand Daddy” Drive-In and it could only happen at the Grand National Show.  In addition to the mind-blowing indoor show that is the GNRS, on Saturday and Sunday there’s the “Grand Daddy” Drive-In.  For the past 13 years on Saturday and Sunday during the Grand National Roadster Show, the finest pre-73 rides create a stunning show surrounding the show.  A sea of the very best the West Coast and beyond had to offer.  Every hood, fender and ounce of metal flake, were all glimmering under the warm California sun.  Talk about a hot rodders sight to behold!

The cars started lining up in the wee hours of the morning and once daylight broke, they paraded in one insane ride after the other.  Customs, Bombs, Low Lows and almost anything else you can imagine on four wheels filled every inch of asphalt.  Hundreds of vehicles, live music, and darn near every representation of American car culture was there.  To put it mildly, it was fantastic.  Because this show within show was all that and then some, I’m gonna let the pics do the talking’ now.

Get over to the Recent Show Gallery and get you fill of the “Grand Daddy” Drive-In.  Beautiful cars and palm trees make for some nice photos.

Head over to RodShows.com to get all the info you need to make the scene next year and bring your baby out in that warm California sun!

Till the next time – Keep on Kruin!
