RMD Garage 1962 Bel Air “Sanity”

Builders were seeing “red” at the 2017 SEMA Show.  We saw Detroit Speed and Bobby Alloway rolling in red this year, now we’re casting an eye at RMD Garage.  Their latest build “Sanity”, is a stunning ruby red resto-mod ’62 Bel Air.  Ralph Holguin and his crew at RMD Garage know a thing or two about building incredible rides.  This Bel Air is the perfect showcase for their talent.  I read that Ralph originally purchased this ride for his daughter several years ago but as some projects go, it got moved to the back burner.  Fast forward to the 2017 SEMA Show and “Sanity” made its debut after undoubtedly countless hours of hard work and tons of blood, sweat and tears.  As you can see, the custom body work on this ride is extensive.  “Sanity” has a hand made all steel grill, front bumper as well as a custom hood and engine bay.  The trim has been shaved throughout the entire ride.  “Sanity” sits on an Art Morrison chassis, rolling on Raceline wheels and Wilwood brakes keep this resto-mod in check.  The power plant is a stout 550hp LS3 with a heathly roar coming from the Borla exhaust.  That stunning interior was done in-house and  “Sanity” was sprayed to perfection in BASF’s best.  The shop’s motto is “Don’t dream it, built it.”  Well I can guarantee many gearheads out there would have their dreams come true with this ride.  This build goes way way beyond ordinary.
