World of Wheels 2017

Well Kats and Kittens, Old Man Winter was given the heave ho last weekend. Well, at least in car show terms. That ambassador of glad summertime tidings O’Reilly Auto Parts World of Wheels, rolled into Chi Town last weekend scorching the permafrost and reminding thousands of midwesterners that there is a headlight at the end of the carshowless tunnel. As always and for the past 55 years, this show brought out the hottest rides on 2, 3 and 4 wheels. It was a sight to behold all the fine, fine rides that filled the Donald E. Stevenson Convention Center. It was jam packed and the caliber was second to none. Did I mention America’s Most Beautiful Roadster was front and center. And then there was the Rilder along with several of the Great 8. Add to that a few SEMA Battle of the Builder contenders, the ISCA Championship finalists and about a thousand or so righteous rides and there you have it. The grandest galaxy of automotive awesomeness out there otherwise know as World of Wheels.

Yep friends, O’Reilly Auto Parts World of Wheels steam rolled into Chicago and what a welcome sight it was. Now feast your own eyes on this fine summer forecast!

That smell of tire shine, new leather, moth balls, oil, fresh popcorn all mixed with the lingering scent of exhaust…. well, it was enough to begin to thaw my frozen gears. Now I invite you to sit back, relax and dream of warmed times to come while checking out the rest of World of Wheels in the Most Recent Show Gallery.

I’ve just gotta give a huge shout out to friend of KruzinUSA Jesse Matlock. Congratulations buddy! Jesse and his incredible SEMA Super Star “Striker” took home the prestigious Summit Racing Equipment ISCA Championship Street Machine of the Year award! I just know this won’t be the last we’ll be hearing from this guy and his incredible ride. All that time, travel, blood sweat and tears paid off. A big high five from like 10 states away!

Oh and guess who nabbed a selfie with one Mr. John Force. Dad guess what your getting for Father’s Day!

There’s is still so much more to come. More SEMA Super Stars and more from the Detroit Autorama.

Till the next time – Keep on Kruzin!
